About Destination Sept-Îles Nakauinanu
Nakauinanu : Innu word that means «where one stops».
Corporation created in 2007, Destination Sept-Îles Nakauinanu (DSIN) has for main objective to promote the tourist destination "Sept-Iles/Uashat mak Mani-Utenam" to the international cruise industry.
Its mandate is to offer to various public and private authorities a permanent structure, in the form of single desk, allowing them to work jointly on the development and promotion of the city of Sept-Îles, Uashat mak Mani-utenam and its region
The Sept-Îles port of call is part of the St.Lawrence destination, which includes nine ports of call: Montreal, Quebec, Trois-Rivieres, Saguenay, Baie-Comeau, Gaspe, Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Havre-Saint-Pierre and Sept-Iles. On a larger scale, it is part of an alliance created with other ports of the American and Canadian North-East, under the aegis of Cruise Canada New England.
